A new me

I've made some decisions over the past few days:

1) I'm all about me. I'm going to start living my life for me for a change. I know what I want, and I'm going to do my damnest to get it.

- Jeff - although I already know I've talked about this one, but I want him, and I'm going to do whatever I can to get him back. And if it doesn't work, then fine - - at least I will have him as a really great friend (although that will suck buckets majorly, I will have to accept it)

2) I'm getting an apartment. I've gotta call over to the complex today and check to see if heat/water and such is paid...because that will be the deciding factor on if I move into that complex or a different one. This one I'm looking at is only $20 more than what I wanted to spend, but if I've gotta pay my own heat/water (which is paid by the complex just about everywhere else) then it's not worth the price difference.

3) I'm going to get a dog. I found one down at the pound that I like that I'm going to call on this afternoon after class. His name is Charlie and he's just cute :)

Those are just a few things, but I'm getting my life back in order. I'm going to get me on track (which I'm sure will make things better with Jeff and all my other friends) and go back to the real, genuine, regular "Me." I'm sick of being miserable, and sick of living and doing things for others all the time. I'm not saying that I'm going to become this "self-centered bitch" but in the same sense, I'm going to do things for me.

If I don't wanna go somewhere - I'm not going to.

If I don't wanna do something - I'm not going to.

If my friends need me, I'm going to be there for them - - -but that is also something I WANT to do. I've noticed since I've made this decision I've lost more weight, (15lbs total so far,) find myself happier, and I'm just generally having fun and I love it.

Like last night, Megan came back from her dorm to get the futon outta the basement because her and her roomies wanted it, so oddly enough, and totally out of the character I have been for a while, I helped her take it apart and we loaded it up in both cars (hers and mine) and helped her truck that dang thing up 5 flights of stairs.

(3 pieces - 2 of us - total steps: 20 flights!)

Then we went to WalMart because she wanted to put Christmas lights around her bed/room, but Mom was concerned about the fire hazard, so I took her to Wally World and bought her rope lights....lol

I dunno....I'm just so....Me now, and I love it.

Gotta jet to class - - - - Adios!
